Legal services for the publishing industry

Welcome to publishing-law.co.uk.

This website explains who we are and what we do.

Our core business is drafting and negotiating publishing contracts - such as author agreements, journal publishing agreements, and electronic distribution agreements. As well as publishing contracts, we regularly draft and negotiate other kinds of commercial contracts used in the publishing industry. To find out more about our contract-related services, please visit our Contracts page.

We also prepare libel reviews and advise upon the law relating to publishing (including copyright, defamation, and contract law). To find out more about our advisory services, please visit our Libel page.

Specialist legal drafting and advice is often prohibitatively expensive, particularly for authors and smaller publishers. Our fees are transparent and reasonable. To find out more about what we charge, and how, please visit our Fees page.

Although our fees are reasonable, we aim to provide (and believe that we do provide) a service of at least the same quality as you would expect to receive from a London law firm specialising in publishing law. You can read about our experience and expertise on the About page.

We've tried to keep the site as clear and brief, so if you would like any more information about us, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
